There are 2 types of IMVU Bundles. The most visible one are the bundles they throw out every week.
The other bundle is the user created bundle. We will be looking at this here.
You can add any products with bundability checked, be it yours or others' but you must first have bought the product before adding them.
This bundle link will bring you to the bundle where you can learn how to derive a bundle.
You should see this
1] By following the instructions, you will get to this page:
Give it a name, type some random text into the description or you can use your description now,
set a price of 100,000(we will fix this later), give it a catalog icon, decide which gender this bundle is for. Strongly suggested to uncheck Derivable, so you can come back to edit pricing in future should you have to alter your prices.
Finally uncheck the Visible box.

2] Submit the product.
3] Once done, you will be brought to the product you just submitted. Now click the Edit Bundle link

4] You will now need to add the items you wish to bundle into the bundle you have just created.

5] Whoa tiger!, that was confusing! What is IMVU saying?
Well, it may be confusing on how the products pricing is going to be set but I have a formula and a calculator to help you with just that.
So let's just ignore what IMVU is saying for now if you don't understand it and just type in you product ID numbers to use in this Bundle.
Do not change the Parent ID at the top.
Here's the link to the calculator
6] Once done, submit the bundled items. Now that you are done, it's time to decide what kind of a bundle you are making. Is this a discount Bundle? Or is it a bundle to sell a complete series of items? That is defined by your pricing and description.
Whilst I will not teach what to write for the description, I will teach how the pricing works. So let's get to the Edit Settings link now.
7] A familiar page appears, this time make all your amendments or take your time to complete it.
8] Now we fix the price, use either the calculator or the formula below.
(skip this if you already understand or have used the calculator to obtain the pricing)
Bundle Wholesale Price = Total Item(s) Wholesale Price(s)
Item Breakeven = Total Item(s) Breakeven Price(s)
Bundle Breakeven = [Bundle Wholesale Price + 75 credits]
Non-Discountable Bundle Retail = 110% x Bundle Breakeven
Discounted Bundle Retail = 110% x [Bundle Breakeven + Discount] |
"For 5 Different Magic Wands in a Magic Bundle"
Breakeven per Magic Wand = 250 credits;
Wholesale Price per Magic Wand = 600 credits;
Profit per Magic Wand
= Wholesale - Breakeven
= 600 - 250
= 350 credits
5 Magic Wands' Combined Breakeven
= 250 x 5 Magic Wands
= 1250 credits
Combined Profit of Individual Products
= 350 x 5 Magic Wands
= 1750 credits
5 Magic Wands' Combined Wholesale
= 5 x 600
= 3000 credits
Magic Wand Bundle Breakeven
= 3000+75 credits bundle derivation fee
= 3075 credits |
for Discount-Pricing
Assumed Discount (if all 5 products were made by this bundle maker)
= 250 credits (175 discount + 75 derivation fee)
Final Bundle Wholesale (Discount-Type)
= Combined Profit(1750) - Discount(250) + Derivation fee (75) + Combined Breakeven(1250)
= 2,825 credits
Discounted Retail Price
= 110% x 2825
= 3108 credits (figure rounds up)
Estimated profit
=
2825 - 1250 - 75
= 1500 credits |
for Non-Discount Pricing:
Desired Profit (if all 5 products were not made by this bundle maker)
= 250 credits
Final Bundle Wholesale (Profit-Type)
= Combined Profit(1750) + Profit(250) + Derivation fee (75) + Combined Breakeven(1250)
= 3325 credits
Non-Discountable Bundle Retail Price
= 110% x 3325
= 3658 credits (figure rounds up)
Estimated profit
=
3325 - 1250 - 75
= 2000 credits |
Alternative Approach:
Retail price
= 110% x [BundleBreakeven(3075) + User Markup(250) or Discount(-250)]
= 3658 credits (Profit-Type Bundle) or 3108 credits (Discount-Type Bundle) |
9] Unhide your product by checking the visible box this time and submit.
Congratulations, You're done!
